1 package fresh mushrooms, diced
1 large onion, diced
3 stalks celery, diced
2 carrots, diced
1 Tbsp canola oil
1 1/3 pound uncooked 93% lean ground turkey
1 small can tomatoes
439 gm Goya Small white beans (or other beans you like, or corn)
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
(alter the seasoning toy our taste)
Put the canola oil in the crock-pot to grease all sides. (sometimes I skip this all together)
Dump everything but the tomatoes in the crock-pot and mix well.
Pour tomatoes over the top.
Set timer to low and walk away.
Can't tell you when it is "done" as I usually set this up before I leave for work so I let it go about 10 hours. It should be "done in about 5 - 6". Be sure to break up the meat with a spoon at the end.
Makes five 8 WW point portions.

EATS: WW Friendly Onion Dip
OK, so the reality is I don't enjoy eating most vegetables that much and on WW you really need to eat veggies. Well, that and they are good for you. So, I made this recipe and it makes a great dip for low points and makes me WANT to eat veggies (well the veggies are a dip conduit but you get my drift).
1 - 17.6 oz container of 0% Fage Yogurt
1 pkg Lipton Onion Soup Mix
Seriously all you do it stir them together well and you are set.
If you ate the WHOLE 17.6 oz it is 9 Points Plus - divide it in four an it's 2 points a serving - BLISS.
Plus it actually gets better as it sits.
Soooo go eat some veggies!

TRAVELS: Question Number One: How do I want to spend my vacation?
Invariably the first
question people ask me is "where are you going
on vacation next?" This is because I go to a a wide
variety of places. When thinking about vacation, it is the first question
people generally ask themselves is “Where should I (we) go?” When
in actuality the first question they should be asking themselves is “How do I
want to spend my vacation”?
The answer to this question will help answer the other. Don’t believe me? Here are a few answers I got when I asked
people how they wanted to spend their vacation:
- Laying on the beach doing nothing
- Seeing Macchu Picchu
- Drinking wine in Italy
- Building a Habitat for Humanity house
- Disney
- See a new State
Now that is not to say that some of these things cannot be combined – for
example 1 the beach and 3 wine in Italy, but WHAT you want to do on vacation is
more important than where.
Should you not be traveling alone, it also is important that you and
your traveling companion(s) are all thinking the same thing about how you are
going to spend your vacation. If you say
to someone, Let’s go to Florida, depending on who they are it may conjure
images of Disney, Miami Beach, Daytona or the Keys .
Of course there is nothing that says you can only do one thing on
vacation, but just be sure that everyone who is traveling together has the same
agenda, or is capable and willing to strike out on their own. It will make the vacation much more pleasant.

EATS: Little B's, Tarrytown, NY
Housed on Main Street in what was formerly Jack and Dyl's - this little joint has two main dishes - Burgers and wings. A burger and fries is only $10. Beer on tap and rotates so you have a variety of craft and microbrews and additionally they have a number of bottled and canned beers to choose from.
The fully stocked bar can whip up an cocktail you can think of, or, sample one of the select whiskey options.
There is a checklist to build your own burger - beef, turkey, veggie, grilled chicken, or mixed greens, bun, toppings as you choose.
I generally opt for the garlic aioli SOS (sauce on side) to dip the fries in.
If you are looking for a burger or a bite and a beer (or other beverage) it's a great place. Oh and your check still arrives in a recycled book.
